I don’t normally listen to spoken word, but I found this song uniquely captivating. Part of me can’t take my eyes away from the video as he performs what is obviously a passionate experience. Anytime you see such raw passion you must take note. I’ve been drawn to this song for quite some time. I’m in love with his imagery, his passion, his mustache and most importantly his message. 

Come on and sow us together

This line echoes in my mind every time I listen. It’s so human to be imperfect, to wreck your ship, to have ship wreck moments every moment but it’s also incredibly human to want to hide that. We want to believe we can navigate the waters, but the truth of this song is that we can’t and there is beauty, freedom and joy in that admission.
