10 things you didn’t know you didn’t know.

1. Encryption is a problem being exploited by terrorists. there is absolutely a need for privacy but if someone gets a court ordered search warrant they should be able to look at your text messages. 

2. Composition can change a photo and you don’t even know it. This is a great demonstration. 

3. The Paris attacks shook the western world. As Parisians evacuated the stadium they were singing. 

4. The New York Times wrote an article about Belgium as a hotbed for terrorism. They wrote this article in January and discussed the future mastermind of the Paris Attacks.

5. After the attacks Parisians tweeted their addresses with the #pourouverte or open door to take in those who had no place to go.

9. There was a terrorist attack in Beirut this week. It didn’t get as much attention because it’s not a western city and you’re not going to see profile pictures with Lebanese flags but the suffering is the same. People lost their families and loved ones in both attacks. Here is just one story from Beirut.

10. Music. A friend of mind sent me this and I think everyone should check them out. It’s calming sounds are especially perfect given the turmoil that greeted this week.
